The new retail data application, which runs on SAP HANA, is called SAP Customer Activity Repository. The repository’s aim is to help retailers become more customer-centric by combining customer, sales, and inventory data in a unified view. This will help with more postitive customer experiences, become more consistent and efficient, build brand perceptions, and become more profitable.
The SAP Customer Activity Repository also helps with consumer insights by combining customer insites from stores, online, mobile, and social media feedback. It will be combined for a “single source of truth” to help with retailers optimize their branding, marketing, promotions, pricing, merchandising, inventory and management processing, and other initiatives. This will aid retailers and e-tailers with a dramatically better customer experience, giving SAP Customer Activity Repository Solution users a much superior competitive edge.
