A study by ARC found that the use of Warehouse Management Systems WMS grew by 8% in 2012. WMS, a real-time solution that uses voice recognition, radio frequency identification (RFID), radio frequency, or real-time location systems, is found to be growing in both established and emerging markets.
Additionally, omni-channel retailers will continue to have an increase in demand for WMS for use in e-commerce, as well as in-store to improve inventory accuracy and fulfillment options. There will also have a continually increased demand for adoption of add-on modules, such as labor management and slotting optimization.
