Why would we set a goal of offering less? Two BIG reasons:
- Everyone Is An “Expert” – We know from experience, consulting firms market “expert knowledge” in just about everything. We all want your business, and therefore try to catch your attention by offering “expert services” that, really, we have never offered before or have little experience in, but know that we can wing it if we just make the sale. Blue Harbors is currently defining our capabilities and skillsets to let you know where our true expertise lies. If we are not the best fit, we will do our best to help you find the best fit, but we will not pretend to be experts in an area where we aren’t just to make a sale.
- Less Functionality = Less Problems – It’s easy for consulting firms to throw new solutions and functionality at gaps identified in your business systems or processes. Instead of immediately jumping into adding new functionality or new processes in order to address your business’s needs, Blue Harbors will attempt to identify ways to streamline and optimize exisiting processes. Our goal is to simplify your long-term business processes, not to add gears that will just solve today’s problem without considering the future.
